Where your data goes
QoBot works with your data in three places: your computer, QoBot Cloud if you turn it on, and the AI provider you chose.
On your computer
The desktop app keeps your security workspace in a folder on your machine, with its full history. Nothing leaves it without your OK, apart from the requests QoBot sends to your AI provider.
In the cloud
QoBot Cloud keeps QoBot working when your computer is off. It's a paid plan that comes later, opt-in per workspace, and hosted in France on OVHcloud.
Your AI provider
To answer, QoBot sends your question and the parts of your workspace it needs to the AI provider you chose, under your own account. How long the provider keeps them and whether it trains on them depend on the provider and your account's settings: see Anthropic, OpenAI and Mistral. Mistral is based in the EU, for teams that want an EU provider.

Where exactly is my workspace?
In the folder you pick when you create it, by default Documents/QoBot/<your company>. Back it up with your usual tools. Uninstalling the app leaves it in place.
Can the QoBot team see my workspace?
Without Cloud, its content stays on your computer and never reaches our servers. Our logs and telemetry never contain conversation content, and you can turn the app's telemetry off in its settings.
